Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit erfährt seit langer Zeit Zulauf. Steigende Fallzahlen, hohe Streitwerte und immer professionellere Akteure im nationalen und internationalen Kontext bringen den Bedarf nach dezidierter Festsetzung schiedsrichterlicher Rechte und Pflichten mit sich. Die Kündigung des Schiedsrichtervertrages durch den Schiedsrichter und die daraus resultierenden, haftungsrechtlichen Konsequenzen sind ein praktisch, wirtschaftlich und wissenschaftlich bedeutsames Thema und trotzdem kaum in Kommentarliteratur und Schiedsregeln aufbereitet.
