The 4th World Congress on Genetics, Geriatrics and Neurodegenerative Diseases Research (GeNeDis 2020) focuses on the latest major challenges in scientific research, new drug targets, the development of novel biomarkers, new imaging techniques, novel protocols for early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases, and several other scientific advances, with the aim of better, safer, and healthier aging. Professor Panagiotis Vlamos is the Chairman of the University Research Center of the Ionian University and Director of the Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Human Electrophysiology (BiHELab) of the Ionian University. He completed his undergraduate studies in Mathematics at the University of Athens and obtained his Doctorate in Mathematics from the National Technical University of Athens.
He has received many awards and has authored more than 250 papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings, as well as 16 educational books. BiHELab's goal is to help bridge the translation gap from data to models and from models to drug discovery and personalized therapy, promoting collaborations and developing novel approaches to biological and clinical problems, using high-performance computational methods.
