Der Band präsentiert Perspektiven von Wissenschaftler*innen verschiedener Fachgebiete auf die Themen Sexualität und Macht in pädagogischen Handlungsfeldern. Einleitend wird ein resümierender Blick auf die Forschungslandschaft zu professionsethischen Fragen geworfen. In weiteren Beiträgen rekonstruieren unterschiedliche Autor*innen berufsbiographische Interviews mit Lehrer*innen und Sozialpädagog*innen. Im Kern wird in den Beiträgen unter Rückgriff auf unterschiedliche Theorien und Forschungsmethoden den Sichtweisen von Nähe und Distanz sowie auf sexualisierte Gewalt nachgespürt.
