Jan Maximilian Klingenstein untersucht das Potenzial des partiell teilhomogen betriebenen Dieselmotors im elektrifizierten Antriebsstrang. Das dazu erzeugte Vorwärtsmodell beinhaltet neben der klassischen Längsdynamikmodellierung, dem Fahrzyklus und Fahrerregler eine modifizierte Betriebsstrategie, die sich in zwei Unterstrategien differenziert. Der elektrisch beheizte Katalysator, welcher zur Reduktion der im teilhomogenen Betrieb vermehrt entstehenden CO- und HC-Emissionen benötigt wird, findet aufgrund seines elektrischen Verbrauchs ebenfalls simulativ Berücksichtigung. Um den elektrischen Verbrauch abschätzen zu können, wird ein empirisches Temperaturmodell vorgestellt, welches anhand der Motordrehzahl und dem erzeugten Moment die Abgastemperatur vorhersagen kann. Zusätzlich wird das erzeugte Simulationsmodell mittels mehrerer Prüfstandsmessungen validiert.
