Zur Steigerung der Genauigkeit und Prognosegüte der Motorprozessrechnung entwickelt Sven Fasse den aktuellen Stand der Modellierung von Ventildurchfluss und Brennraumturbulenz. Er zeigt gestützt auf 3D-Strömungssimulationen und Prüfstandsmessungen auf, in welchen Betriebsfällen Effekte auf den Ventildurchfluss über den Stand der Technik hinaus in der Modellierung zu berücksichtigen sind und auf welche Weise dies erfolgen kann. Für die prädiktive Verbrennungsmodellierung stellt der Autor ein Ladungsbewegungs- und Turbulenzmodell vor, das auch Kombinationen von Drall- und Tumbleströmungen mit ihrem Einfluss auf die Brennraumturbulenz in der Motorprozessrechnung abbilden kann.
