The Council of Europe’s pioneering efforts since its creation have profoundly shaped history education, emphasising multiperspectivity and democratic values. Today, initiatives like the Observatory on History Teaching in Europe and HISTOLAB continue this legacy, addressing contemporary challenges to enhance history education.
