Dr. Anugrah Singh is currently a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. He holds B.Tech and M.Tech degree in Petroleum Engineering from the IIT(ISM) Dhanbad and PhD in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Dr. Singh has more than 30 years of research experience in the field of Multiphase flow, Flow through porous media and Rheology of complex fluids. He has published several research articles in these areas and successfully executed many sponsored research projects. Dr. Singh was awarded Indo-US science and technology forum fellowship in 2010 and was a visiting fellow at the California Institute of Technology, USA. He is a life member of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE), member of Indian Society of Rheology (ISOR) and serves as reviewer of several peer-reviewed journals, books and project proposals.
Dr. Pankaj Tiwari is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Guwahati. He has received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah, USA. He is actively working on various enhanced oil recovery schemes, such as chemical EOR, gas-chemical EOR. He has successfully executed five sponsored projects from various funding agencies. He is a life member of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) and a regular member of the Institute of Engineers (India), the Society for Polymer Science, India, American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), and Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and serves as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals. His research group is also actively working in the area of Pyrolysis, Biofuels, Fluidized bed, Multiphase flow and Waste to wealth.
Dr. Abhijit Kakati is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. Dr. Kakati holds a PhD degreein Petroleum Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He is actively involved into research associated to the upstream oil and gas industry such as enhanced oil recovery, carbon dioxide geological sequestration, flow assurance, crude oil de-mulsification, remediation of crude oil contaminated water and soil etc. His research is published in journals such as Geo-energy Science and Engineering, Energy & Fuels, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Chemical Engineering Science, Journal of Water Process Engineering etc. Kakati is also serving as reviewer for many journals such as Energy & Fuels, Journal of Molecular Liquids, Scientific Reports, Chemical Engineering Research and Design, Petroleum Science and Technology etc.
Dr. Sumit Kumar is currently an assistant professor at the department of chemical engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. He obtained his graduation and Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad, India. His research interest includes CO2 sequestration, Enhanced oil recovery; and shale gas research. His research lab is equipped with facility to characterize the rock, fluid, rock-fluid and fluid-fluid interaction. Hs research goal is to build an in-house facility to do research and contribute in the decarbonization and energy transition of the petroleum industry. In his early research carrier, he has published seven research article in reputed journals and running two sponsored research project related to CO2 utilization and storage in petroleum reservoirs. He is an active member of society of petroleum engineers (SPE) and Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE). He is also acting as the faculty advisor for Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati society of petroleum engineers (SPE) student chapter.
