This book explores the evolving landscape of global political economy amidst a shifting global order, ushered in by the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, and rising trade and political disputes between the US, China and the EU, leading to a rise in protectionist policies and disruptions in global supply chains leading to high inflation, and energy and food crises.
Focusing on the relations between the European Union and the Indo-Pacific region, this book examines how recent protectionist policies are reshaping economic security and cooperation between the two actors.
