Dr. Hajirah N. Saeed is currently an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, University of Illinois Chicago. She is a cornea specialist who has a particular clinical and research interest in complex ocular surface disease, particularly pediatric ocular surface disease and surgery, and Stevens Johnson syndrome and ocular burns. She has over 60 peer reviewed publications and is an internationally recognized expert in Stevens Johnson syndrome. Her work is funded by the National Eye Institute.
Rohan Bir Singh, M.D., is a senior fellow at the Laboratory of Ocular Immunology, Transplantation and Regeneration at the Schepens Eye Research Institute of Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, USA. He graduated from the Government Medical College and Hospital, Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. His research interests include the immunopathogenesis of dry eye disease, immunology of corneal graft rejection and ocular graft versus host disease, and epidemiology of ocular disorders in the United States. He is a PhD candidate at the Leiden University Medical Center, The Netherlands, specializing in corneal immunology. Dr. Singh is also an honorary associate professor in the Division of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Adelaide Medical School, University of Adelaide, Australia. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and chapters in leading ophthalmology and vision science journals.
