Dr. Mayuri Baruah is currently working as an assistant professor at the Department of Production and Industrial Engineering, National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, since 2018. She obtained her B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) from Dibrugarh University, Assam, and her integrated Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Assam, in the year 2017. Her major areas of research interests include welding, additive manufacturing, numerical modeling, characterization, and optimization of manufacturing processes. She has published 15 papers in international journals and 10 conferences. She has edited a book “Next Generation Materials and Technologies” published in Select Proceedings in Materials by Springer. She has also published 7 book chapters.
Dr. Uday Shanker Dixit received B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from erstwhile University of Roorkee in 1987, and M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 1993 and1998, respectively. He has worked in two industries—HMT, Pinjore, and INDOMAG Steel Technology, New Delhi. Presently, he is a professor at Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Guwahati. His research areas include plasticity, metal forming, finite element method, soft computing and sustainable engineering. He has published 146 journal articles and 150 conference articles. He has also authored/edited 19 books in mechanical engineering and several conference proceedings.
Dr. Kanwer Singh Arora received his B.Tech. (mechanical engineering) from PTU Jallandhar, M.Tech. (metallurgical engineering) from IIT Roorkee, and Ph.D. (Welding Engineering) from IIT Delhi. He completed a part of Ph.D. work as DAAD scholar at TU Dresden, Germany. He has worked with HZDR Rossendorf and is presently employed as a head, Materials Welding & Joining Research Group, R&D, Tata Steel Limited, Jamshedpur. His research interests are primarily related to welding engineering, material characterization and mechanical behavior of materials. He has authored 56 international publications, serves as a reviewer of several leading journals and associate editor of Welding International.
Kaushal Kishore is working as a principal researcher in Materials Welding & Joining Research Group of R&D, Tata Steel, Jamshedpur. He received his B.Tech. in Metallurgical Engineering from B.I.T. Sindri and M.Tech. in Materials Science from IIT Bombay, with the prestigious Department Citation award. He led over 400 industrial failure investigations and recommendations have led to multi-million cost savings. His present research interests are developing novel cladding solutions for extreme environments, additive manufacturing, multi-principal element alloys, and resistance spot welding of advanced high strength steels. He has authored 45 international publications, 1 conference proceeding and has also served as reviewer of several leading journals.
