Professor Xi's research interests include polarization effects in fibres, high speed optical fibre communication systems, physical impairments mitigation or equalization techniques, optical sensors.Dr Nan Cui is an associate researcher at the School of Electric Engineering, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing, China. Her research focuses mainly on optical fibre communication, polarization effect, and digital signal processing. She has been co-authored more than 40 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers.Dr Hu Zhang is Associate Professor at the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China. Dr Zhang's research focuses mainly on special optical fibre, fibre devices, and space division multiplexing technology. He has been granted 4 patents and co-authored more than 70 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers.Associate Professor Xiaosheng Xiao is based at the State Key Laboratory of Information Photonics and Optical Communications, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing, China. His research interests include fibre optics, mode-locked fibre lasers, and optical fibre communications.Dr Tang is an Associate Professor in the School of Electronic Engineering and a member of the State Key Laboratory of Information Photonics and Optical Communications, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. His research interests include high-speed optical communication, polarization effects in fibres, and optical layer security. He has been granted 9 patents and co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers. As a principal investigator or main researcher, he has completed more than 30 research projects.
