This student-focused handbook aims to guide forensic psychology students in using theory in an applied settings and developing specialized research methods to tackle contemporary issues in forensic psychology. It comprises five sections that outline popular topics taught in forensic psychology programs. Each chapter follows an identical structure and includes core theories, applications, case studies where relevant, chapter summaries, discussion chapters, and recommended reading. This structure aims to facilitate formative discussion and learning, while expanding core forensic psychology teachings to include more diverse perspectives and culturally-sensitive assessment tools for those engaged in clinical and forensic practices.

Dr. Masood Zangeneh is Professor in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Sciences and Innovative Learning, Humber Polytechnic. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Ethnicity in Substance Abuse and is a consultant to numerous scientific journals and universities for interdisciplinary, multi-cultural research and development addressing mental health, addiction and resilience among marginalized populations.
Karin Spenser is the Discipline Lead: Head of Forensic and Health Psychology at Leeds Trinity University.
