Prof. Bin Fei is at the School of Fashion and Textiles (SFT), the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU), with over 20 years of lecturing experience. He obtained his Ph.D. from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has since then engaged in basic and applied research of sustainable textile materials. He is currently the research leader of the ESG sustainable fashion hub and the MA program leader of the globally enviable fashion program at SFT, PolyU.
Prof. Soney C. George is currently the dean of Research at Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirappaly, and director of the Center for Nanoscience Technology. He obtained his Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from the Mahatma Gandhi University, India. He completed his postdoctoral studies at the University of Blasé Pascal, France, and Inha University South Korea. His research interests are in the areas of polymer science, sustainable polymer blends and composites, nanocomposites, tribology, supercapacitors, and polymer membranes.
Dr Benjamin Tawiah is a lecturer in the Textiles and Fashion Section in the Department of Industrial Art, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He obtained his Ph.D. in Textile and Clothing Technology from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University where he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at City University of Hong Kong as a research associate. He is currently a visiting postdoctoral Scholar at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research interests are in the areas of sustainable textile materials and composites, nanofillers nanocomposites, flame-retardant polymer composites/textiles, and second-generation flexible energy storage materials and sustainable dyeing.
