Carolin Bischlager-Imhof untersucht die epistemologischen Beliefs sowie die Lehr-Lern-Beliefs von Sportlehrpersonen und damit jene Orientierungen, die ihren Unterricht maßgeblich strukturieren. Ausgehend vom Diskurs zur Wirksamkeit der Lehrer*innenbildung hebt die Autorin die Relevanz von Teachers’ Beliefs für die Gestaltung von Sportunterricht hervor und arbeitet deren fachspezifische Ausprägungen systematisch heraus. Die Studie zeigt auf, wie sich Beliefs methodisch erfassen lassen, und identifiziert drei Überzeugungsmodi (de-didaktisiertes Körperleistungsfach, leibliches Sport-Lernen, sinnselektives Bewegungs-Erwerben). Diese verdeutlichen, wie Sportlehrpersonen der gesellschaftlichen Praxis des Sports in ihren Unterrichtsstunden begegnen und welche Formen der Vermittlung daraus hervorgehen.
