Was macht politische Kommunikation erfolgreich? Diese wegweisende Studie deckt die kommunikativen Strategien von AfD und FDP im entscheidenden Bundestagswahlkampf 2017 auf – als beide Parteien um den dritten Platz kämpften.
Mittels korpuslinguistischer Verfahren analysiert die Autorin systematisch, wie sich die Parteien sprachlich positionierten: Die FDP setzte auf konstruktiv-positive Kommunikation zur Imageaufwertung, während die AfD gezielt negative Elemente nutzte, um Unzufriedenheit zu schüren und sich als Lösung zu inszenieren. Dabei weist die Rhetorik der AfD Parallelen zum Sprachgebrauch im Nationalsozialismus auf.
Die Ergebnisse verdeutlichen, wie sprachliche Mittel zur Manipulation öffentlicher Meinung eingesetzt werden – ein unverzichtbarer Beitrag zur politischen Bildung und Demokratieförderung in Zeiten populistischer Herausforderungen.
