Prof. Kaustubha Mohanty is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. Prof. Mohanty has established a distinguished research career in the areas of biofuels and biomass pyrolysis, microalgae-based biorefinery, membrane-based separations, and heterogeneous catalysis for environmental and energy applications. He has authored more than 250 peer-reviewed journal papers, five books, and over 35 book chapters, and his work has been widely cited, with an h-index of 63. Scholar GPS has ranked him at 36 (Lifetime All) & 1 (Prior Five Years) under 'Biomass'. Also, 9 (Prior Five Years) under 'Pyrolysis' and 56 (Prior Five Years) in 'Chemical Engineering'. 

Dr. S. Venkata Mohan, a prominent scientist in environmental bioengineering and sustainable technologies, is currently serving as the Director of CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur. Prior to it, he was Chief Scientist and INAE-SERB Abdul Kalam Technology Innovation National Fellow at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), Hyderabad. His illustrious career spans over two decades, marked by groundbreaking contributions to environmental sustainability, carbon capture, bio-based chemicals and fuels, advanced wastewater treatment, and the circular bioeconomy. His achievements include the prestigious Vigyan Shri award, Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, INAE Abdul Kalam Fellowship, and numerous awards such as the Tata Innovation Fellowship and VASVIK Industrial Research Award. His prolific research output comprises 452 refereed journal articles, 15 patents, and a book, showcasing an impressive H-index of 102 with over 35,500 citations. 

Prof. Himabindu Vurimindi is working as Professor, Centre for Environment, and Co-ordinator, Centre for Alternative Energy Options, CEN, UCEST, JNTU Hyderabad, India. She has done M. Sc in Environmental chemistry, M. Tech in Environment management and earned PhD in Chemistry from JNTU Hyderabad. Dr. V. Himabindu’s research focuses on monitoring of Air, Water and Soil pollutants and their control technologies, Biofuels production, Energy materials, Sequestration of CO2 gases from industrial air emissions and Hydrogen energy, Sustainable technologies for environmental remediation. She has a teaching experience of total 23 years. Dr. V. Himabindu has authored 149 publications in reputed national and international journals. Dr. V. Himabindu has successfully executed 23 R&D projects funded by state and central government. Dr. V. Himabindu holds a patent on biohydrogen production by dark fermentation from distillery spent wash. 

Dr. Satya Sundar Mohanty is currently working as Assistant Professor at Division of Biotechnology in Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (Deemed-to-Be University), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. He holds master’s degree in biotechnology and PhD in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela (NIT Rourkela), where his doctoral research focused on sustainable bioprocesses, bioremediation, and optimization of engineered biological systems. Before joining Karunya, he was working as a Post Doctoral Fellow at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Assam, India prior to which he has a teaching experience in National Institute of Technology Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Dr. Mohanty’s research focuses on algal biotechnology, wastewater treatment, bioremediation of emerging contaminants, bioprocess engineering, and waste-to-value bioconversion. His work particularly emphasizes the use of microalgae, microbial systems, and engineered bioprocesses for nutrient removal, degradation of antibiotics and pesticides, and valorization of industrial and municipal waste streams.
