Prof. Bhagirath Chauhan leads the weeds team at the University of Queensland, Gatton, Australia. He completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Haryana, India, and obtained his PhD from the University of Adelaide, South Australia. Prof. Chauhan has more than 20 years of research experience in conducting trials on the improved agronomy of new production systems and integrated weed management options in Australian and Asian countries. His research interests include weed ecology and biology, herbicide use, management of herbicide-resistant weeds, non-chemical weed management options, integrated weed management systems using agronomic and varietal components, nanoherbicides, tillage systems, and conservation agriculture systems. He has published over 400 articles in peer-reviewed journals and several books and book chapters. He is an honorary member of Weed Science Society of America (WSSA).
Dr. Khawar Jabran is currently working as an associate professor at the Department of Plant Production and Technologies, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, Omer Halisdemir University, Nigde, Turkiye. He is specializing in agronomy, weed science, and plant protection. He teaches undergraduate and graduate classes, supervises MSc and PhD students, and is actively engaged in agricultural research and scientific writing research. Dr. Jabran is dedicated to advancing agricultural research and education, contributing significantly to his field through research, teaching and scholarly publications.
