This book explores how nanoscale innovations are revolutionizing plant science and crop management, offering transformative solutions to some of agriculture’s most pressing challenges including nutrient loss, pest resistance, soil degradation, water scarcity, and the need for enhanced crop productivity. For over ten thousand years, agriculture has shaped civilizations, feeding societies and driving human progress. Today it stands at the threshold of a new era, one defined by the extraordinary potential of nanobiotechnology. Nanotechnology enables targeted delivery of fertilizers and pesticides, real-time monitoring of plant health through nanosensors, and the development of eco-friendly materials that reduce environmental impact. Yet, alongside these benefits come critical questions about ecological safety, long-term effects on food chains, and sustainable use. Blending cutting-edge research with practical insights, this book examines nanoparticle behavior in soil, water, and plant systems, strategies for minimizing risks, and innovative approaches for integrating nanotechnology into sustainable agriculture. Designed for higher level of students, researchers, scientists, and innovators, it provides a roadmap for harnessing nanobiotechnology responsibly. More than a reference, this book is a guide to the future of farming where technology and ecology converge to ensure food security, protect ecosystems, and shape a resilient agricultural future.
