This book deals with natural gamma radiation in the environment domain. It presents a collective and comprehensive discussion of key topics related to this field. Considering that a significant portion of the radiation dose received by humans originates from gamma radiation, the book compiles research-based information on sources, detection techniques, high- and low-radiation regions, recommended dose limits, and the effects of gamma radiation on agriculture and human health, along with its potential usefulness and associated hazards. The book serves as a valuable reference for policymakers, scientific communities, organizations, and environmental researchers, and is also relevant for individuals concerned about maintaining a healthy life. Furthermore, it synthesizes current research on gamma radiation and highlights its relevance in the context of long-term environmental sustainability.
