Javad Mottahi is Adjunct Professor in the Department of International Business at HEC Montreal, Canada. Previously, he was Secretary-General of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 2010 to 2023. Upon completing his term, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award and was named an ABU Honorary Councilor. His additional honors include Elizabeth R. Award for Exceptional Contribution to Public Service Broadcasting (2009) and a Special Lifetime Achievement Award (2010) for his work at the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) as its Director, from 1998 to 2010.
Russell Fralich is Associate Professor of Strategy in the Department of Management at HEC Montreal, Canada. His research studies how social judgments and early life experiences of top executives affect the quality of their strategic choices, their behavior, and the performance of their organizations. His research has been published in over 30 academic articles. He is an Editorial Board Member of the Long Range Planning: The International Journal of Strategic Management. Prior to switching to academia, he worked for 14 years in the aerospace and telecommunications industries in a wide range of engineering and management roles.
Taïeb Hafsi is Professor Emeritus at HEC Montreal, Canada. He was elected member of the Royal Society of Canada in 2018 and received a doctorate Honoris Causa from Sherbrooke University, Canada in 2025. He has written more than 120 articles in academic and professional journals and authored or co-authored over 45 books dealing with strategic management and change. He holds a Master of Science degree from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School, USA.
