About author(s)

Dr. Robert Atkinson, PhD, is a neurocognitive systems researcher whose interdisciplinary work bridges neuroscience, cognitive science, psychology, human-computer interaction, and science and technology studies. His research examines how neural, physiological, social, technological, and institutional systems interact to shape adaptive cognition across time. He is the developer of the Neuroalignment framework, which provides an explanatory and evaluative architecture for understanding the conditions that support adaptive cognition and for assessing how contemporary environments preserve or undermine those conditions.
