Dr. Zhenyu Zhang is a distinguished professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering at Dalian University of Technology, China. His research specializes in ultraprecision grinding, chemical mechanical polishing, nanoscale precision manufacturing, and nanotribology. Dr. Zhang has been honored with prestigious awards, including the Excellent Young Scientists Fund from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and recognition as a Distinguished Young Scholar in the Changjiang Scholars Program. His contributions to the field have also earned him titles such as Thousand Talents of Zhejiang Province and Distinguished Young Scholars for Science and Technology in Dalian City.

Dr. Paolo Mercorelli, a member of IEEE, is a full professor and chair of Control and Drive Systems at Leuphana University of Lueneburg, Germany. He received his Ph.D. in systems engineering from the University of Bologna in 1998 and has held key positions such as international distinguished visiting professor at Lodz University of Technology, Poland. His research focuses on applications of Kalman filters, robotics, wavelets, geometric control, and sliding mode control. Dr. Mercorelli has published extensively, holding the position of editor-in-chief for "Transactions on Computer Research" and the "Engineering Mathematics" section of MDPI's "Mathematics." He has received multiple best paper awards at international conferences and has been recognized as one of the top 2% scientists by Elsevier and Stanford University from 2019 to 2023.
