« Tout à fait dingue, délibérément vicelard, pervers en diable, inventif. » C'est ainsi que le Rire a salué la première édition de ce livre qui, sous la forme d'une comédie illustrée, dénonce les conformismes de la mode qui voudraient transformer tout le monde en « mannequins » stéréotypés. Tino est-il une fille, ou est-elle un garçon ? Ai-je la poitrine trop volumineuse, ou bien les hanches trop étroites ? Peut-on dissocier les plaisirs de la chair ? Peut-on revendiquer la liberté sexuelle tout en suivant un régime amaigrissant ? Lorsque Nelly était enfant, sa mère la giflait avec le bifteck qu'elle allait cuire dans la poêle. Une telle expérience aurait dû rendre Nelly masochiste, mais elle est devenue gourmande de tous les plaisirs imaginables.

An experience like that ought to have Nelly as a masochist, but instead she has become greedy for every imaginable pleasure...
