In ihrer Analyse zeigt die Autorin, dass der Begriff „Schülerpartizipation“ ein junger Begriff ist, mit dem pädagogische Sachverhalte bezeichnet und gesammelt werden, die vor seinem Auftreten konzeptuell nicht zusammengefasst wurden. Schülerpartizipation kann dabei als Kooperation innerhalb der spezifischen institutionellen Rahmenbedingungen von Schule nach demokratischem Prinzip verstanden werden. Das Auftreten dieses Prinzips im pädagogischen Verhältnis zwischen Lehrpersonen und Lernenden wird als Hinweis auf die Veränderung des Generationenverhältnisses gedeutet.
