Judith von Heusinger untersucht aus sozialwissenschaftlicher Perspektive kulturelle Konflikte in der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit am Beispiel der Länder Kambodscha und Kirgisistan. Sie analysiert diese aus der Perspektive von Entwicklungsexpertinnen und Entwicklungsexperten als rationalisierte Andere und der daraus folgenden Konfliktstruktur. Am Beispiel des Politikfeldes der „reproduktiven Gesundheit“ wird der konflikthafte Lokalisierungsprozess globaler Normvorstellungen durch entwicklungspolitische Maßnahmen und dadurch ausgelöste kulturelle Konflikte in diesen beiden Ländern dargestellt.
