Dr. Bertaç Sakir Sahin has been employed as an Associate Professor at the Business Administration Department of Yildiz Technical University since 2018. His MA (2019) and PhD (2023) degrees in Accounting and Finance from Marmara University. Sustainability, microfinance, and financial reporting are among his research areas. Besides, he has some studies about CDP disclosures, financial soundness, and sustainable finance. He has published in journals such as the International Journal of Sustainable Economy, Kybernetes, and Management of Environmental Quality. He is actively engaged in several international academic communities. He serves as a deputy head of the "Future Finance Law Hub".
Dr. iur. Baris Cantürk is an Assistant Professor of IT Law at Marmara University Faculty of Law, and the founder & director of the Future Finance Law Hub. His academic focus lies on Future Finance Law, which encompasses the intersection of IT Law, Company Law, and Digitalization and Regulation. He has over nine years of professional experience as a research and teaching assistant, attorney at law, and legal counsel. In addition, he has authored several pioneering international publications, including a book, peer-reviewed articles, and symposium proceedings.
He earned his title of Doctor of Law (doctor iuris/dr.iur) at Leipzig University Faculty of Law with the distinction magna cum laude for his dissertation entitled “The Future of Company Law: Decentralized Autonomous Organization – The Existing Legal Wrappers and a New Form Recommendation”, supervised by Prof. Dr. Boris P. Paal, M.Jur. (Oxford).Throughout his academic journey, he has been honoured with multiple awards, scholarships, and fellowships from prestigious institutions such as the Prime Ministry of Türkiye, the Ministry of National Education of Türkiye, the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye, the German Academic Exchange Service, and the Friedrich Schiedel Foundation.
