In seiner Forschungsarbeit untersucht Benedikt Englert die Rolle von ‚Person-Environment Fit‘ – also der Passung zwischen Mitarbeiter und Organisation – für ein erfolgreiches Personalmanagement. Ein zentrales Ergebnis ist, dass die Übereinstimmung von persönlichen Werten und Einstellungen mit der Mission der Nonprofit-Organisation für die individuell wahrgenommene Passung von Mitarbeitern mit ihrer (Arbeits-) Umwelt eine entscheidende Rolle spielt. Entsprechend sollten Nonprofit-Organisationen bei Personalgewinnung und -einsatz insbesondere auf eine Werte-, Ziel- und Missionskongruenz achten, um engagierte Mitarbeiter gewinnen und langfristig binden zu können.
