Chatbots sind Nutzungsinnovationen mit großen Erfolgsversprechen für das Consumer-Marketing, wobei die konsumentenseitige Akzeptanz kritisch für ihren Erfolg ist. Diese Akzeptanz kann anhand von Technologie-Akzeptanzmodellen gemessen werden. Timo Diers entwickelt ein Akzeptanzmodell speziell für textbasierte Conversational Interfaces im Marketing. Mit Hilfe einer Strukturgleichungsanalyse und eines eigens für die Arbeit programmierten Chatbots wird ein neu aufgestelltes Akzeptanzmodell empirisch überprüft. Die Auswertung der Daten liefert dabei detaillierte Einblicke in die Akzeptanz von künstlicher Intelligenz im konsumentenseitigen Marketing.
