Die Entwicklung der Wirtschaftsordnungen der BRD und EU werden in systematischer, chronologischer und vergleichender Perspektive behandelt. Dieser integrative Zugriff ermöglicht eine Darstellung der relationalen Beziehungen beider Ordnungen, d.h. ihrer Verbindungen, Verschmelzungen, aber auch separaten Entwicklungen. Dabei werden sowohl die Gesamtordnung als auch die wichtigsten Teilordnungen untersucht. Es wird dargelegt, wie die gemeinschaftliche Wirtschaftsordnung allmählich die bundesrepublikanische überformte.

Prof. Dr. Gerold Ambrosius war bis 2014 Professor für Wirtschaftsgeschichte an der Universität Siegen. Sein Forschungsschwerpunkt liegt in den Bereichen Wirtschaftssysteme und Wirtschaftspolitik öffentliche Unternehmen und Dienstleitungssysteme bzw. Infrastrukturen, europäische Integration und internationale Wirtschaftsbeziehungen.
Dr. Christian Henrich-Franke ist Privatdozent für Wirtschafts- und Sozialgeschichte an der Universität Siegen, Studium der Geschichts- und Sozialwissenschaften, 2005 Promotion und 2010 Habilitation. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Internationale Geschichte, Europäische (Wirtschafts-) Integration und Infrastrukturgeschichte.
