Henriette Neumeyer analysiert in ihrer Studie die marktorientierte Entwicklung von Konzepten Integrierter Versorgung (IGV) aus Sicht der Medizintechnologie. Hierbei entwickelt sie einen IGV-Filter genannten Innovationsprozess. Wesentliche Quellen für diesen Prozess sind die nach Zustimmungsgrad gewichteten Thesen aus Experteninterviews, welche die Autorin sowohl mit Vertretern führender Medizintechnologieunternehmen als auch Mitarbeitern der gesetzlichen Krankenkassen geführt hat. Der IGV-Filter trägt der immer geringer werdenden Bereitschaft Rechnung, Geldmittel für Innovationen bereitzustellen. Auf Systemebene eignet sich der im IGV-Filter beschriebene Prozess als Leitfaden zur Integration der Interessen der beteiligten Stakeholder (Medizintechnikunternehmen, Kostenträger, Leistungserbringer) mit dem Ziel einer qualitätsorientierten, von Redundanzen befreiten Patientenversorgung.
