Prof. Dr. Christian Weckenborg wurde aufgrund seiner Habilitationsschrift die Venia Legendi für Betriebswirtschaftslehre verliehen. Die Arbeit führte er am Institut für Automobilwirtschaft und Industrielle Produktion der Technischen Universität Braunschweig (Professor Dr. Thomas S. Spengler) durch. Nach seiner Habilitation wurde er als Universitätsprofessor an die Universität Regensburg berufen.
